Son Doong cave was welcomed tourists 4 years ago (in 2013), a wide, fast river that tunneled through the earth over time formed the cave, hence the name, which means “Mountain River” in Vietnamese.
The only licensed Oxalis Company to take tourists through Son Doong cave, with the estimated cost for a five-day expedition is $3,000. They provide a bus routes running from Hanoi city to Dong Hoi of Quang Binh, and go direct to the park.
In a different way, Ban Gioc Falls is compared with the Niagara Falls of US. Ban Gioc is between Vietnam-China border and the Falls of US sits along US & Canada. Those is is surrounded by karst rocks and green forest.
The approximate distance between Ban Gioc and Hanoi is around 225 miles. Tourists can take a bus from My Dinh of Hanoi to Cao Bang Province, and they need to take a second bus from the falls.
